Education

I am currently an M.A. Candidate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Journalism and Mass Communication where I am refining my skills in ethical reporting practices, storytelling around climate change and environmental justice, and multimedia journalism.

In 2022 I graduated from 
Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee with a Bachelor of Arts in
Creative Writing &

Communication of Science and Technology with a 3.57 cumulative GPA. I made the Dean's List each of my last five semesters.

FootPrint Coalition: 

FootPrint Coalition is Robert Downey Jr.’s initiative focused on climate mitigation, adaptation, and planetary restoration through investments in sustainable technology, nonprofit science grants, and media storytelling.

Responsibilities + Accomplishments

​

  • Closely monitored the climate, environment, and related technology, business, and policy news cycles for daily pitching 

  • Wrote original research, news, and profile articles with original interviews and regularly synthesized reblogs ​​

  • Aided in brainstorming and writing pitches for potentially televised content

  • Collaborated on script-editing and video-editing for media intended for web and social media platforms 

  • Wrote and copy-edited social media posts intended by Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn

Writing Interests

While I am excited to cover everywhere my curiosity takes me, I most enjoy writing from a solutions journalism standpoint, covering climate change, related scientific research, the green economy, the energy transition + built environment (especially in its relation to marginalized communities), and environmental justice from health and economics to policy and intersectionality with other justice issues.

Multimedia Skills

In college and in my present and past internships, I was able to dip my toes into videography, audio, and web media. I am thrilled to further hone this craft, and I hope to integrate more multimedia elements into my written work. I am proficient in the following multimedia and web design platforms:

  • Web design & content management: Wix, Squarespace, WordPress
  • Graphic design: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Canva 
  • Audio and video production: Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, Final Cut Pro, Animaker
